2011 Vans Warped Tour
Posted on: January 12, 20112 comments so far (is that a lot?)
When I say summertime, what do you think of? No school, family vacations, sunshine, warm weather, sitting poolside getting a tan? When I hear the word summer, I automatically think of Warped Tour.

The Vans Warped Tour was founded in 1995 by Kevin Lyman. The tour is primarily sponsored by none other than the popular Skateboarding/BMX shoe manufacturer, Vans. The tour originally started out as a punk rock only tour and has over the years expanded to fit a wide variety of genres. In addition to music, the Warped Tour also offers skateboarding attractions and a “punk rock flea market” which includes everything from the bands merch tents to up and coming designers. The Vans Warped Tour is the highlight of the summer for most music loving fans. If you haven’t been to the tour yet, why not make 2011 your year?
This year’s Vans Warped Tour dates were released earlier this year and you can find them here:

Hawthorne Heights

Just because the semester is over doesn’t mean us Lowdown reporters stop working. I got the opportunity to sit down and talk with one of my favorite bands Hawthorne Heights when they stopped by the Musica on December 17th. I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how stoked I was for this. The guys were amazing and so down to earth! They even gave us a shout-out during their set before they played my favorite song, “Bring You Back” from their latest release “Skeletons.” Here’s some photos from the interview and the show.
Lowdown fans, What is your favorite Hawthorne Heights song? Leave a comment and let me know!
